Dr. John Oyiborhoro

Dr. John Oyiborhoro obtained his doctoral degree from Columbia University in New York City.  Dr. Oyiborhoro was Director of Audiology at the United Cerebral Palsy of New York City, Inc. for more than twelve years.  He was an Audiology consultant for the National Institute for People with Disabilities in New York City, and he served as an Associate Professor of Audiology at Pace University in New York City for nearly a decade.

Dr. Oyiborhoro delivers academic presentations nationally in the US, and internationally, Canada, Japan, Australia, Czech Republic and Argentina to name a few and has published widely in peer reviewed medical, science and hearing healthcare journals.  In 2001, Dr. Oyiborhoro was invited by the world’s largest publisher of medical and science books and journals to write a highly specialized book in Audiology, “Aural Rehabilitation of People with Disabilities” published in 2005 for clinicians and graduate students. 

In his spare time, Dr. Oyiborhoro conducts annual charity missions abroad to provide free hearing services to under-served populations especially in the Niger Delta area of Nigeria.  In addition, Dr. Oyiborhoro provides pro-bono consulting services related to the development and implementation of hearing conservation programs for pre-school children in the New York City community.
